Hook-ups?
Hook-ups are plug-ins to connect your Motorhome to the electricity supply.
Do we need to hook up?
Yes, to benefit from the facilities onboard the Motorhome we recommend that you hook-up.
Is it difficult to hook the Motorhome up to the hook-ups?
No, it is easy to hook your Motorhome up to the hook-ups; in the orientation tour before you leave the depot this will be explained to you.
Is it necessary to make reservations for campsites?
It is not necessary to make reservations for campsites, but it is recommended. Campsites can book up quickly during long weekends, holidays, and the summer months.
What should I look for in a prospective campsite?
  1. First of all, consider availability. It doesn't matter how great the campsite is if there is no vacancy for your nights
  2. Is the campsite close to your holiday destination, or is it off the beaten track?
  3. What facilities or amenities are included for the cost of the campsite? What hook-ups are available?

 

Facilities?
  • Every campsite has something different to offer, some basic facilities offered include flush toilets and showers (although not every one offers these).
  • Other facilities offered range from pools, hot tubs, laundry facilities, golf courses, restaurants, local pubs and campsite stores.
  • Please inquire into your prospective campsite about what facilities or amenities available.
Cost per night?
Campsites cost will vary, depending on the amenities available; prices are approximately £17 per night.

Insurance

What if we have to cut our holiday short? Will we get our money refunded?
No. Whilst we are very concerned with our client's well being, we recommend purchasing travel insurance.
What about insurance to drive?
Basic insurance is included with your Motorhome rental.

Motorhome Road Trip

What should I do if the engine light comes on?
Pull over to the side of the road; contact our depot, and they will let you know how to proceed.
What if I am involved in an accident?
  • Notify our depot immediately.
  • Get copies of all the police reports including the case number.
  • Get all the information of the other party (if there is one) and their insurance details.
  • Get contact information for any witnesses (if any).
What if my Motorhome rental breaks down
  • If your Motorhome rental breaks down, notify our depot before approving of any repairs or towing.
  • If the depot has not approved repair costs, you will not be reimbursed the cost of the repairs.
Should I be performing any regular maintenance on the vehicle?
  • Keep the fuel tank full.
  • Check the oil and coolant at every stop.

Payment

What forms of payment do you accept?
Payment can be made via Visa, MasterCard, certified cheque, bank (wire) transfer.
What costs are not included in the Motorhome rental basic rate?
Costs that are not included in the vehicle basic rental rate include gas, tolls, camp fees, food, etc.
What kind of deposits do I have to make?
A reservation deposit is taken to hold the vehicle for you; this deposit fee is non-refundable. Please ask about the reservation deposit at time of booking and any cancellation charges that may incur. The security deposit must be processed on a valid credit card.
When should I arrive at the depot?
At the time of booking, we will tell you when to call ahead and arrange a specific depot time. After signing you rental contract, be prepared to spend approximately 45 minutes to go through your vehicle orientation. At this time, our employee will explain the operation of the vehicle, and they will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.
How long will my pick-up take?

Who should I bring to the depot?
You should bring any one who is going to be an additional driver so that they may sign the contract and appear on the insurance. The booking must be in the name of the credit card holder. This person must be present at the depot to sign the rental contract. You should bring a valid, recognisable and legal drivers licence.
What time can we get the vehicle?
We aim to tie the start time of your hire with your arrival, this is subject to existing bookings and we will advise you what time your hire can start at when receive your enquiry.

Motorhome Return

In what condition must the vehicle be returned?

The vehicle must be returned in the same condition it was at the time of pick up.

  • Clean inside.
  • Fresh water, grey water and black water holding tanks must be dumped. Overall, you need to make sure that the Motorhome is returned in the same condition it was received.
Do your depots allow after hour returns?
Only by special arrangement.
Should I arrange a return time?
Most depots have a set return time.
What if I return my vehicle after the arranged return times?
All depots charge a late return fee (usually an hourly rate). By returning the Motorhome rental late, you are inconveniencing our depot and other customers. If the vehicle is not returned on time, the following rental will be delayed because the Motorhome has to be checked and prepared for the next rental.
Will the depot drive me from the depot to the airport?
Yes, subject to prior arrangement.
What if I want to extend my holiday while I am on the road?
Extended days are subject to availability and require approval from our depot.

Motorhome Usage

How much gas mileage does a Motorhome get?
Vehicles usually get between 25 miles per gallon. This depends of course on gross weight, the vehicle size and the speed that you travel.
Are Motorhomes difficult to drive?
No, Motorhomes are not difficult to operate. They are usually pretty similar to cars except that they are a little bit higher in their centre of gravity and it takes them longer to accelerate or decelerate.
Do Motorhomes come in automatic and standard?
Motorhomes only come in manual transmission.
Do I need a special driver's licence?
All of our Motorhomes can be driven with a standard driver's licence.

International Customers

Do I need an international drivers licence?
No, however, an international drivers licence is recommended for ease of use.
Do I need to bring my passport to the depot?
Yes, your passport is needed at the depot.
